What is Mediation?
Mediation is the process of using a qualified Mediator to assist you to resolve your dispute in a confidential manner, without going through the legal system.
Who are we?
Family Dispute Resolution (often referred to as FDR) is a specialist form of Mediation for family law matters relating to children, property settlements, divorce and child support. We as Mediators assist both parties to work together to reach their own agreement and we are known as the ‘neutral party’ who facilitate the open discussion. We do not make the decision, we do not give legal advice, we are not the Judge, and we do not judge. We aim to guide and assist you, the parties, to communicate and reach your own decision and avoid the costs, delays and exhaustion, of your matter being resolved by the Courts.

About Jillaine
Jillaine Duve has been a lawyer since 1998 and has worked exclusively in family law since 2004. She is a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) but is also qualified within the National Mediation Accreditation System (NMAS) so can assist you resolve any form of legal conflict using her mediation skills. She is committed to helping people resolve their disputes as efficiently as possible to minimise the impact on their family, their children and the wider community.

Laura McGookin has worked exclusively in family law since 2006 and is a qualified Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP). She thrives on equipping people with the tools needed to be able to resolve their dispute without the need of litigation and to help people move on with their lives. Laura looks forward to using her Mediation skills to assist you to resolve your dispute.
